Christian Ed

Christian Education:

The Christian Education Ministry at Goodwill Baptist Church exists to support the church’s Vision, primarily the commitment to Bible-centered teaching, but also to contribute to the other commitments as well.

The Christian Education ministry consists of the following ministries:

  • Sunday School
  • Wednesday Evening Growth Groups
Sunday School

The purpose of the Sunday School program is to minister to all age groups in smaller groups that teach and apply God’s Word to their age group. Children’s classes consist of teaching time along with activities appropriate for the age group being taught. Children are placed into classes based on their age (for ages 0-4) and by their grade (for children in Kindergarten – 6th Grade). Youth and Adult classes use a variety of curriculum based on the needs of the church and for that particular class.

Growth Groups

The purpose of Growth Groups is to provide elective classes for Adults and Youth on Wednesday evenings to help them grow spiritually in a small-group setting. Curriculum is more elective-oriented, and may consist of topical classes, expository Bible classes, ladies or men’s studies, or life skills classes.
