About Goodwill Baptist Church

Goodwill Baptist Church has been faithfully serving the Lord Jesus Christ in the West End of Richmond for over 70 years. We are growing and very excited about what God is doing. We are committed to communicating God's timeless truth, demonstrating God's unfailing love, and living God's life-changing power.

At Goodwill Baptist Church, we are:

A PLACE TO BELIEVE
The Bible says, "For without faith it is impossible to please him" and, "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." We emphasize the clear and exciting preaching and teaching of God's Word so that men and women will come to faith in Jesus Christ in order to receive eternal life.

A PLACE TO BECOME
Each of us must grow in our relationship with Christ. We begin spiritually as an infant child and grow towards maturity through the power of the Spirit, the impact of the Word and the encouragement of fellow-believers. We emphasize discipleship through our growth (small) groups, Sunday School, and services.

A PLACE TO BELONG
We are a family at Goodwill. We are not perfect, but we desire to serve and love God with all our hearts, love and encourage one another, and serve those around us so that they will desire to know and love our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
